All things considered, can you really say it's that bad?

I mean, its a free, volunteer-staffed extremely complicated (for flash) game.

-the graphics are successful.
-the highscore list functions pretty well.
-speed mods work fine. (!)
-the staff is obviously concerned about feedback and was quick to patch it a couple times.

Too many people just look at how the song-loading feature had/has some bugs and how they think its just slightly off sync and how sometimes the scores and letter grades aren't logical. It's not going to be stepmania + high score list right away...

Too many people are pessimists. They need to see all the good things that R2 has to offer.

I had the same arguement he day it was released. Everyone kept bitching about how Synth sucks and how they could design a better flash program within a few days and release instantly and make it perfectly sync'd and etc...

For something that is Free and has NO budget it's great.

Whoever thinks Synth sucks and all that should get off their fat lazy asses and experience full hand exactly how hard creating video games actually is. Not just that but you have to create your own graphics, script, music (bolded for emphasis) and everything from scratch. Plagerism (without permission) will get you sent in jail.

Music's not hard if you have enough money to license or employ artists, as all of the major companies do. However, an independant game like FFR having the quality of music that it does is amazing.

Whether there was a budget or not, this game is purely awesome. Like Moogy said, it has good quality music, top quality actionscript, and is just plain amazing for a flash game. Or for any type of game.

There's so many things Soccr / R2 team should have noticed before releasing the beta.

RisqR2, whoever you are, I'm neither of those things. And I'm entitled to my opinion.

I can play a song properly maybe 1/10 times. Even then, it's still slightly messed up in one way or another.

Get people to create songs for me, get me a year and a half, and I swear I can put out something better than Stepmania. (Note, this is not a promise or a self-imposed deadline of some random R3 project. I don't care at all to make games of this nature. Just saying I can.)

Please prove me wrong with the full release, R2 team. I look forward to an amazing game.

There are really only two possible things R2 can be. Playable or Non-playable. If it's non-playable then it's obviously going to suck to that person. Yeah, the mods or whatever can be nice, but if you can't play the game.. who cares?

Squeek, I had 4-5 months not 1 year and a half... I didnt use BPRC's because his tested for Y position not ms timing so I started from scratch...

And trust me that R2 Beta 2 will be MUCH IMPROVED. I already have done something which will completely change how R2 will be. It is now between me and Synth only so all I can tell you is that it is AWESOME.

Yea, well said Jay. Just wait for the new release. If you guys make me put one on there then it makes me feel constrained to a certain time....

But trust me the new Beta 2 will be completely awesome. Like Jewpin awesome, only in a smaller box. :D
