Ok the last game had it and I looked all over for it but i did not find one song other then techno (not that techno is bad but) WTH. Yes i am waiting paitently for new songs like everyone elese is and all that jazz but im just curios about if this r2 thing is gonna go techno only or go like the original (and this is why i liked ffr over ddr) and have different song genres. Seriously this is the reason of which really caught my eye when i played ffr for the first time was the diversity in music genre and now there is only techno what happened? I really liked that aspect of the original (yes i still play that too) but I would really like to know if it is gonna be in the future if there will be more music genres available?

for now, all of the music is user submitted (aka... us, the ffr forum goers). so, the easiest type of music for a random person to make is electronic.
its very hard to get the rights to songs, and the majority of non-techno songs would be by bands which would want money for the right to use the song... which is why in FFR all of the updated songs were all techno songs.
hopefully we will be able to get some. i as well enjoy the diversity of music that FFR has.

lol i mean like rock, classical arcade that stuff it was good cause ffr was the only place to find it (like songs one would normally dance) since u r using ur fingures and not ur feet it made more sence to use those kinds of songs
BTW: thx for ur help i also really enjoyed r2 dont get wrong its a great game its just missing the originality that ffr had to offer when i firts played it

I just submitted a remix of the Bubble Bobble theme that has a rock feel. Hopefully this'll get in R2. Also, when I try making music, I go for more of a rock feel, so if any song from me gets in R2, it'll definitely be a lot different than most of the other songs.
I do like the rock type songs, so all you rock musicians out there, get to submitting your music. Also, you people with the video game remixes should submit too.
PS I was thinking of making a dwi for Beethoven's 5th, so that could be a classical.
Because we all know that Reality is a great song.
It is.

are we allowed to use Beethoven's 5th, since its not "original music"?

The copyright lasts 50 years after the artists death... I think.
Oh, and did anyone else step Slow Colors from the R2 Step pack? It's like slow jazz. And Norgers too, though that one would be classified as techno.

well, when more types of music comes out for R2, i think the "songs a-g" or whatever will get removed and put back into genres of the music instead ^_^
btw...most of the songs weren't "techno" but they were types of electronica lol =D
