This one is pretty obvious. Max2 scoring is, quite simply, not an accurate indicator of how well you did on a song. The fact that a great on the last step can penalize you 500x more (or more!) than a great on the first step makes the scoring system poor.

It should be replaced with oni-style scoring. Marvelous = 3, Perfect = 2, Great = 1. Add them all up and it's your score. Or replace it with percentage scoring, where 100% is all marvelouses and 0% is all goods. But the truth of the matter is: very few people are going to take the "score" in R2 seriously unless it's changed to something accurate. Make Max2 scoring an option if the concern is that it has to be DDR-perfect. But this is an opportunity for R2 to improve upon SM rather than trying to mimic DDR.

It also sucks that I can get 10 greats early on in the song and beat the score of someone who got 1 great at the end.

I'm not sure, but I believe that scoring is not dependent on arrow order even though the max scoring is similar to max2 style. Why? Because I tied some dude on tell me a story beginner with I think 7 marvelouses. What are the chances we got them in the same spot?

Glich in the game, that shows the person above you on the high scores the score you just got

Marvelouses in this game are the same as perfects for value.

Definitely not true, I have seen As with higher scores than AAs. The only thing that accounts for it is where you got the greats.

Marvs need to count more than perfs, desperately.
