Perhaps someone could tell me how to spell Critique?

Anyways we might as well make it formal to make a topic totally for the Creative Aid of R2. As in, answer these amazingly simple questions.

Do you like it?
What is good?
What is bad?
What would you like to see?
Anything else...

See? Simple. Take this as a life lesson and apply it to ANYTHING you review you think about...ever. A good practice would be at an art site or a video game. Practice before you post.

Anywho...I like it. Menu's run smoother and glitches seem unnoticable for a brand new relese. For a Beta it's insanely well done and the graphics and arrows are well placed and fairly reasonable to do.

I don't like the fact there is about 1 old on in there. I would have liked to see more and it doesn't seem to have the nice flow, but that I can get used to. Now it doesn't take a genious to know there will be more songs soon so thats not an issue. The only major problem would be me having to get used to the new system.

Anything else? Well nothing more that can't be answered by the words "beta version."

i think r2 is great (better than ffr), it's only beta, it needs more options and more songs.

I think it is great!

I like the whole DDR look (even though many people don't). The speed modifiers are awesome (better than StepMania because you don't have to go edit the metrics.ini and english.ini for the perfect speed).

What is bad? Hmm... I'll get back to you on that one.

I would like to see support for different scroll directions (I play down, and I'm not used to playing up).

Congrats to Synth, Soccr, and the rest of the R2 team!

The beta overall was good. I loved the new look and feel to it. The new DDRish/Stepmaniaish theme looks alot better than FFR. But what I would really like to see is, well, what Fearoth said. More songs, more options, I can tell Multiplayer will be added as soon as that gets done, which is great.

Now I don't know where I'm going with this.
Guess that's it =/

I second ad0gg's motion for reverse scrolling. As a reverse player myself, I am unable to complete some of the stepfiles on the heavy difficulty setting that I would, under normal circumstances, have absolutely no problem getting through. However, I understand that the majority plays with normal scrolling so this is not a complaint as I am fully content awaiting the implementation of said feature in its own time.

As for the game itself I think it is very well done especially for FLASH. It runs a tad choppy, but that is probably more a fault of my processor itself than the actual engine of the game so its nothing that Synth can be held accountable for. It might not have EVERYTHING but it definitely leaves the proper room for adjustments later so that it should not be as difficult uploading features. All in all I'm glad R2 is released and it lived up to my personal expectations.

Giving what I did, which was playing three random songs, and waiting for the download bar to move along, which was slow, but I got it eventually, I think what could, and this is my opinion, to have songs you know you wont be able to find anywhere else. Songs strictly to FFR itself.

I have spoken my mind, feel free to comment however.

I'd like to third ad0gg's suggestion, I'd like to see more options on the direction of the arrows (I play right to left). I just can't mentally process the arrows as quickly with the bottom to top thing.

I love R2, can't wait until they add more songs and more options!

<3 R2

But then again, my brother made it, so I don't really have a choice :)

Well there is no doubt about the fact that R2 puts FFR .68 to shame, but i will be looking forward to the next beta. This version has dozens of bugs, the event mode bug, the combo bug, the laoding bar bug etc, not to mention ill be looking forward to more songs seeing ive played all 18 on all levels about 10 times on different speeds.

In conclusion, yes i like the beta... but im looking forward to it being better in the future

R2 > FFR

Took me awhile to realize that my keyboard only supports 4 simultaneous button presses, though. Having me and my friend play versus got real irritating real quick.

I know this is a generic comment by now, but R2 is definetly the best flash game I have ever played. I'm sure for everyone that does not like it, it will only get better as time goes by.

ok. :D
