I play on a 750mhz duron with 512megs of ram SD100. It seems to make the arrows fly kind of erratic even with the lowest graphics setting.
thankfully it seems as long as i can keep with the beat I seem to still do good. (see highscores for 100 bar blackout, euphoria, and salad for your tuesday) I hold the highest score on all 3 of those songs. Songs like chronotrigger and the yoshi bonus round are impossible to me because of this however, even the first part of zelda is hard cuz of all the graphics in the background flying....
just wondering what you are all using to get highscores on those songs :) thanks!

School computers :D
Don't remember the specifics, but they fall in the 1ghz-1.5ghz range.
I never have problems on those computers.

My computers range from PIII 600mhz to an SGI Onyx (damn thing is useless for FFR). Seems that for most levels, it is good to have a 1ghz PIII or better. Give us some time and hopefully the requirements will come down a bit.

1.9 GHZ Pentium 4, but it still slows, graphics card is far more important than cpu, in which case i have a rather lacking GeForce 2 64meg

It is unusual that your config would slow down FFR so much. It should fly at that speed. The videocard doesn't seem to play a huge role. Is this for all levels or just a few of the more intensive ones?

I dont have a high score anywhere, well, i might, i just dont remember such things, anyways, I have a 2.4 gig laptop with a 256 ddr ram and 32 ddr meg Graphics card, So its not that you have a godly computer (which i have), its that you have obnoxious amounts of skill and agility (which i dont) 8)

I have a crap computer, but I can still beat songs like classical piano with ease... its just annoying, cause you get misses alot because the arrows lag up...

My computer is a crap, it has a 500Mhz AMD processor, 4MB vid card, 192 MB RAM, and a 56k modem.
Suprisingly, being ultra laggy really helps for those big songs... the arrows slow down so that they're as fast as End of the Century... but when there are only one or two arrows on screen, they really fly... O_O

I'm running a 1.5 ghz P4 at home with 256 mg of Ram and a GeForce2. It's alright, but I'm running a wireless keyboard that totally throws off my timing. It's OK to practice on but usually end up missing easy steps because of it.
At work (which is where I play most :)) I've got a 800mhz PIII with 512 mb of ram and GeForce 3. It actually runs the game a little faster than my home PC, but I'm usually doing so much crap in the background that it kills the slight advantage I get with the GeForce 3.
Well, Now that I think about it, I'm not sure why it runs better on my work box...maybe I'm making that up. I usually play it on my second monitor which is a crappy ATI Rage or something like that.

At Geforce 3? at work? WHERE DO YOU WORK? I WANNA WORK THERE!
it runs better because of the RAM, not the video card. The downloadabe version on the other hand, would fly because it's Direct X, not Flash. Flash takes little use of the graphics card.

No, it's my GeForce 3 actually. I put it in my work box to play Unreal Tournament and never bothered to take it out. Actually both the video cards in my computer are mine, and the 60 gig drive...that's so sad.
