Hi there. I go by the name Tanarus Asamiya online. I live in a small city about an hour's drive away from Toronto, and make a living fixing computers and putting up with people who spill water on their laptop and make a fuss when we don't cover it under their extended warranty. Seriously, people... Tanarus is the name of an old online tank game I never played. Asamiya is the last name of a character from a videogame. I just thought they sounded cool together. I was also eight years younger at the time. Please don't laugh. Stop it. Hey, stop it. =(

Interesting things. Who'd've figured? More specifically, rhythm games. Cats, apparently. Touhou. Purple arrows. Fixing computers. Arcades -- there're none around here, damnit. Your mother. Games in general, be they of the video, board, card, or dice variety. Online roleplay, which immediately makes me a freak, apparently. To a lesser extent, Japanese art and culture in general.

I don't listen to a lot of 'mainstream' music, and I don't avoid it just to be 'indie.' Anything that fuses classic with techno usually gets a thumbs up in my book. It's more about the music, the harmony and the melody, than it is about actual lyrics -- which is exactly why rap doesn't do it for me. If I had to name specific artists, I'd have to go with the likes of Infected Mushroom, Machinae Supremacy, IOSYS, dBu Music, Venetian Snares, The Fat's Sabobah, Cornandbeans... Also, Touhou music.

Movies are a varied lot. I love lots of good movies, like Kill Bill, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Shaun of the Dead. I also love a lot of really bad movies, like Kung Pow, Spaceballs, and Snakes on a Plane. Chances are, if it's not a lame sappy romance movie, or a lame corny horror movie, I'll watch it.
