It runs throughout the academic year for freshman~juniors in high school. Every Saturday, I have to go there and take courses (free though) on all these science concepts. I don't want to do it at all, as I have enough work to do, my Saturdays are my only days to really relax on, and I'm just not interested in the sciences at all. However, I have to go through the whole admissions procedure (keep in mind my parents are forcing me to go through this).
I have to fill out an application due tomorrow. My mom didn't tell me about it until Tuesday; most people FINISHED it two weeks ago. I have to write a 500 word essay about why I'm interested (completely made up lies) by the end of tonight. I have to write a good essay too, because if I do it, I'll at least have to try. I have to go through a testing procedure and all this junk.
I wouldn't mind doing this even if it's for something I hate- except only 300 students from 750, SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY, schools in the New York metropolitan area will be accepted. In my grade, there are numerous prodigies (literally) that are applying to this program; I'm not one of them. There is no chance of me getting in- if I get in, something's faulty in their admissions process. It's not that I'm not feeling confident (well I'm not actually), but many of the geniuses in my grade are still doubting themselves, so that says something. I don't know what to do; I got an incorrect application (07-08 app. not the 08-09; received an e-mail just a bit ago) and it's due tomorrow, and I have a lot of work to do tonight (studying, etc).
Help. So.Posted on: February 20, 2008, at 08:40:28am [ 2 comments] I'm working my ass off stepping these days. So some of what I've done; my good files only.
11ELEVEN - DJ Sharpnel (finished): collab with eastsideman09, insane file for the FMO/FGO batch (plenty of hands, 128th rolls [203 bpm song], endless stream with endless jumptrills, 48ths, 32nds, 24ths, etc)
Kimi Wa Nan Terabyte - MOSAIC.WAV (finished): file for the FMO/FGO batch; this one's mostly a VC file except 4 measures of an insane guitar solo...hehe. Fun jumpstreams and I had a different approach to the verses, stepping a nonexistant beat (but it still feels fun and right and not awkward).
Minami No Shima No Flone - MOSAIC.WAV (finished for a while): Overlayered fun file with some fun jacks in the final chorus. Probably VC in difficulty.
Pull In Pull In Popped Popped Sho Call Up Arrest - MOSAIC.WAV (finished for a while): An average file. Nothing special about it, really.
Moe Spiral! Akibattler "/" - MOSAIC.WAV (finished): Amazing MOSAIC.WAV song with gay faggotry steps that suck
Master Up! Great Akibattler - MOSAIC.WAV (currently stepping): Beyond amazing MOSAIC.wAV song; somewhat like Moe Spiral! except faster and harder and more amazing. Probably would become a FMO in difficulty. Tons of hard to sync guitar parts.
Grande - MOSAIC.WAV (reviving!): Finished this a while ago, but it wasn't to my liking. Because this song is so epic and that I don't want 15 hours to go to waste, I'm going to fix this file up. Generally around 103 BPM (quite a few changes) with a somewhat cool guitar solo.
Magical Hacker - Kurukuru Risk - MOSAIC.WAV (finished): The file's quite fun. That's all I need to say. |
