I'm 17 years old and currently living in the Louisville area. I totally suck at FFR, but people tell me I write pretty good music so I hope that makes up for it. ;)
I generally produce along the lines of Drum and Bass, Trance, and Happy Hardcore, but I've been known to do some genre-hopping as well. To me, it is important that I have a fully rounded production style and I can take inspiration from multiple areas. | | Interests: | Music production/engineering, guitars, graphic design, philosophy, cooking, sleeping, occasionally running.
...and cats. :D | | Fav music: | Arcade Fire, The Dandy Warhols, TV on the Radio, Travis, My Morning Jacket, Tokyo Police Club, Elliot Smith, Frou Frou, Sufjan Stevens, Lupe Fiasco, Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Evol Intent, Clipse, The Shins, Spor, The Bravery, Muse, Desimal, Volume 10, Biggie Smalls, Pitch Black, As Friends Rust, Noisia, Moby, Band of Horses... to name a few.
I absolutely love drum and bass and electro; I like most hip hop if it's creative or technical enough. Most other genres are fine but I have a hard time getting into rnb and country... | | Homepage: | http://www.myspace.com/cornandbeansmusic |

News!Posted on: February 28, 2009, at 01:03:10pm [ 2 comments] It's probably noticeable that I didn't keep my word about the album release date. Due to family emergencies, college applications, school and a broken computer, I haven't found much time to work on it. However, I haven't been completely unproductive; I've finished about four tracks which I think are above average for my normal standard of quality. I'd like to say that I'll be done by the end of March, but again I don't know what will happen between now and then that will keep me from working on it.
In other news, I have a new alias for drum and bass and ambient/down tempo tracks called "Shelter." I'll continue to release music under cornandbeans, but most dnb labels have a hard time taking me seriously, as well as the fact it'll be harder to fit on vinyl. So there you go, give me a listen and add if you can on le ol' myspace ;) www.myspace.com/shelterdnb
So anyway, I know my ng page is a ghost town at the moment but there's definitely some big stuff happening soon. :) Keep listening!

music by cornandbeansAlbum due late FallPosted on: October 12, 2008, at 08:08:21pm [ 10 comments] For the past few months, I've been working on an album project that I plan on selling mainly through FFR. It will include remastered and revamped versions of my best songs from the game, as well as completely new and unheard tracks. There will be close to 20 songs on the album, all provided in high quality 320kbit/s mp3 format. The only concern is the price range really, I'm wondering how much any of you would buy it for. I'm sort of broke at the moment and I need to fix up my studio and get a new computer, but I don't want to rob you as well.
I'm considering a starting point of $10, but since it's my debut album I don't want to be too picky. Any suggestions? Grandma's Metal Cookies (German video project)Posted on: June 15, 2008, at 02:08:09am [ 8 comments]
I pulled this out of my ass at the last possible moment. The assignment was to film an advertisement for a product in German. Due to procrastination, I couldn't create the necessary props, so you'll just have to imagine that the hunks of aluminum foil are cookies. I'm also supposed to be an old woman.
...Lame, I know. I get oddly creative while under pressure."Forever Young" Cornandbeans RemixPosted on: May 27, 2008, at 04:54:29pm [ 3 comments] http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/146745
A happy hardcore remix of Alphaville's classic, "Forever Young" with some breaks elements halfway through. Probably some of the best and heaviest stuff I've produced yet. (not a joke like my previous submission :P) For those who don't know the song already, you might recognize it from the school dance scene in Napoleon Dynamite... hah.
Give it about a minute to gain momentum. ;) Enjoy! | where's the token?
