New KittensPosted on: June 25, 2008, at 12:30:55pm [ 1 comment] I just recently posted pictures of my new kittens, they're sooo cuuute, check them out =]
but anyways, they were born on Tuesday May 7th, the girl was born at about 1:50 AM EST. Mom cat stayed in labor for quite a long time, so we took her to the vet on Wednesday when we though something was wrong.
The vet took an x-ray on her and found out she had 1 kitten left tucked under her ovaries, so we waited awhile longer and gave her a shot to help her labor to see if he'd come out. He didn't so they did an emergency c-section (or however its spelled) and, miraculously, the kitten was still alive.
He came out a boy, and the nurse took care of him 24/7 to make sure he was breathing and that he got food. They're both still alive and well now. The kitten with white sock paws is the boy, the one with the funny faces in the pictures is the girl.
After we picked them up, my friend and I took care of them pretty much 24/7 and supplemented food most of the time for the kittens. I'm so glad they made it, it's been a long 7 weeks. This couldn't have been possible without the vet's help, my friend's helo, and God's help. I'm so thankful for the friends and family I have.
