Thank God.
Sure, there was a small part of me that still wanted to sit on its butt, but the other 90% is happy to be working. Yeah, it means a lot less time on the computer, but I honestly want that. I spend way to much time on this box. Best thing is, I'm working at a place I used to frequent all the time... when they still had good games. I know what the people are like and already have a decent idea of how things work because of that.
Today was my first day, and it went well.
I went to the best arcade everPosted on: June 4, 2009, at 05:16:18am [

Yes. The Atlantis in Reno, NV. I have never seen so many rhythm games in one place. It seems I can hardly find an arcade with a DDR machine, let alone seven(!) different games. Incredible.
I had gone there three years ago -- last time I was in Reno -- but they only had a few rhythm games. In fact, it's where I first discovered StepMania. Well, I had heard of it before, but I really didn't understand what it was until then. I was almost worried they wouldn't have the SM machine anymore, but not only did they still have it, and with at least twice as many songs, but they also had six other rhythm games.
beatmaniaIIDX 16 EMPRESS
pop'n music 14 FEVER!
Guitar Hero Arcade
Dance Maniax 2nd Mix
Pump it Up NX2
DDR SuperNOVA
StepMania with a Projekt Blue theme
The only thing I could possibly complain about is that I wish they had a GF/DM machine. I would have gladly taken that over the GH machine. It's not worth paying $1.25 to play one freaking song when I can play as much as I want at home.
I got to play pop'n music for the first time ever. All I can say is that it is damn awesome. It was incredibly easy to learn, extremely fun, and the music is fantastic. Of course, I already knew how great the music was. I'm very tempted to try to get it on console because who knows when I'll ever see another arcade machine.
I also seriously played IIDX for the first time. I had a chance to play it a couple times in the past, but I wasn't sure what I thought of it. After playing it there I can honestly say I don't care for it. That's right. Maybe if I could get over the steep learning curve I would enjoy it, but I just don't care enough to try.
So, yeah. Awesome.

Somebody must step this, and I mean someone good with a history. I almost want to, but I just don't feel like touching StepMania. It would be an epic last file, thoughAstronomic Metal CollectionPosted on: March 22, 2008, at 04:52:28pm [

EDIT: Expect a second pack if I ever get out of my slump.
I'm to lazy to post it in the forums, lol.
Description:
You'll find every type of file in here, from technical masterpieces to 16th stream runs that indexers, and people who don't know much about simfiles seem to like. Some of these files are classics and have been around for sometime, while some are hidden gems that are really good but probably overlooked, while others are just newer files by bands like DrGoNfOrCe and RhApSoDy which everyone seems to like even though their songs make really bad simfiles for the most part. The majority of music in here is power metal, as well as some progressive metal, some death metal, a little heavy metal, and other various genres. Why so much power metal in here, you say? Because that's what most people step, lol >_<
One last thing. I know some people might be dissapointed, and some are wondering why I didn't include simfiles by certain artists in here. Well, if the public doesn't provide me with decent simfiles, or any at all for that matter, of an artist, what am I going to do? Honestly, the band I'm the most dissapointed to not have a file of is Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden in great, and a big influence to most modern day power metal.
This pack features 70 files by over 35 music artists and about 25 simfile authors!
