I'm running IN Michigan, not for the university. Hahaha. Again, my bad. I don't have even close to the kind of talent necessary for something like that. I struggled with an odd injury during track season that happened to occur when I landed from hopping a fence. I ran some odd events, but I mostly just focused on gaining the kind of speed I'll need to break through the wall I've been stuck at since halfway through my sophomore cross season. I ran somewhere in the 17:40s fairly early that season, which was my first time breaking 18 minutes in the 5k. Since then, I've run in the 17:35 range in three or four races. As made evident by running a few shorter distances at track meets, I don't have nearly as much natural speed as a lot of guys. That's what I'll be focusing on as soon as I reach the point where I have enough endurance to run in the mid-18s.
The 5k is the only race we run at high school meets here in [THE STATE OF] Michigan. I have no idea what my

Crap, my bad. I don't check my profile more than twice a month, and I can't tell when I have new comments. My running career is going quite well, actually. Michigan's sports seasons got switched around, so I ran track in spring when I would have normally played tennis. I should be better prepared for my senior cross season than in any prior year. My knee seems to WANT to act up, and I can still feel some stuff moving around when I lift the bottom part of my leg up and down, but it's under control at the moment. It's my last season, so I'm willing to run through pain anyway.
Enough of that. How are you doing, and are you still running?
