| About me: | Hi everyone, my name is James, other known as KgZ. I am a composer and musican who has been creating music for about two years. I have been playing the piano for about 10 years now, and seldomly play other percussion instruments.
The first program I ever used was MTV Music Generator, which at the time I had no clue what I was doing, nor how music technically worked. I made many songs that were undeniallably awful and earbleeding. Then half a year later I discovered a whole new program called Fruity Loops, which would become my main music composing application. These songs still weren't that great, as I had very little music theory to do anything, and I couldn't understand the program well.
A year later I found a program called Reason, which is the program that I fell in love with. I use that for my compositions today, and I finally found the program that suits me the best. The music posted on this site is all made with Reason 4.0, using a few wavs from Fruity Loops, and mastering with Goldwave/Audacity.
You can find me on a few site forums, and on a couple online music websites as well. My music has also been accepted into Flashflashrevolution, an online simulator of Dance Dance Revolution. You can find the game here. www.Flashflashrevolution.com | | Homepage: | http://www.macjams.com/artist/kgz |

FavoritismPosted on: January 19, 2009, at 03:45:30pm [ 2 comments] Recently I've been discovering that people feel that the site leans towards favorites surrounding a few artists, including myself. And while I can't say for sure whether that's true or not, I don't think it's fair for me or the other artists to be pinpointed as such. We write music, we love what we do, and hopefully people enjoy it as much as we do.
I feel kind of bad that there has to be this sort of tension between artists, and that I have to be in the middle between you guys and the administration, because I like all of you guys, and I always try to help you out any way that I can.
Anyways, I'm sure there are few people that think I'm just trying to stroke my ego here, but fuck that. I'm just keepin this shit real dawg. Blue Violet (Album Version)Posted on: December 29, 2008, at 10:48:45am [ 1 comment] Okay, so people here and there have been wondering when my album is coming out, and how it's coming along. Yeah, I've been giving you guys demos, but this time I'm being the generous guy, and giving you the full album version of Blue Violet. Obviously, this isn't the exact final version, as I might do a few small tweaks, but think of this as what you should expect from the album.
Of course, I'm looking for as much feedback, suggestions, criticisms, as I can get; right down to the tiniest details.
This is only available through Rithum, and sorry, you cannot download it.

Download gogogogo! New Song (Black and White)Posted on: June 23, 2008, at 10:27:55pm [ 0 comments] I decided to make an expansion in my "color" series. Black and White is similar to Blue-Violet, yet different in many ways. The melody is very memorable and catchy, and it's very upbeat. I must say, this sounds like something from Megaman, although it was unintentional.
Anyways, enjoy!

I have just broken up with my girlfriend (who I had been going out with for 2 years), and I was very depressed. I decided to write this song in the memory of her, to represent all of the fun and happy memories I had together with her. As an added bonus, I got my good friend and musician, Cameron Herren, whom you may also know him as Endorphin. He did the Guitar, drums, bass, and EQ. I want to say many thanks to him, who really made this song epic.
The song is very relaxing, upbeat and jazzy, with a hint of hip-hop drums- it's very very cool. Solos with me on Piano, and Cameron on Guitar. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this cinematic production.
