flying under the radar again.


edit: making this my official tournament log now. gonna keep it short and sweet

lets start this off by saying rusty as fuc. haven't had a real ffr session since losing the last tournament. need to practice if i want to go farther than the 1st round.

Goal: make top 10

Round 1 - Retro City: 1-0-0-0
song seems pretty cool and the file is fun i guess. trills are aids though. but mad cuz bad or whatever. will try to improve sunday
Edit: today is sunday. blackflag my first try. i think i have a mental block on that part so i'm just gonna not play the song anymore and hope for the best. see you all in round 2 hopefully!


Round 2 - Oops: 3-0-0-2
haven't gotten around to playing it yet, but i hear the ending is pretty rough. will update after i play it
edit: Note to self. don't play this song after a stepmania session. frame difference makes it too hard to read. shitty score so far. wasn't fully warmed up. can def improve. but i might have to raise my cmod

edit 2: swooped in semi last second to get a good enough score to advance =)
ending wasn't that hard. ffr just needs to get better at jacks. also disregard what i said about warming up in stepmania. it seemed to work this time. see you in round 3


Round 3 - Undiscovered Colors: 1-0-0-0

i'm very excited that this song has made it's way back into the game, and even more excited that it is d5's song for the tournament. i got 3 goods on it sightread without any warming up whatsoever so i think i can nail at least a bf this week. assuming i get time to play. this round should be very fun and i'm anxious to see what the cutoff will be

edit: improved to a good and a boo. big choke at the then dumping everything in the last 20 notes lol. might still try to improve but i don't know. /lazymanias

edit2: got worried because slowly but surely i was getting closer and closer to the peepee. managed to fix my score with a blackflag and now i feel pretty safe.


Round 4 - Sleep: idk i lost

im starting to get pessimistic about how i will do this tournament. just have that feeling this will be my last round. too many beasts in d5

edit: i'm 90% sure i'm done this round. i swear im getting worse at jumpstream

edit 2: god im lazy at this game. gonna put in a major jumpstream session on stepmania sunday. if i don't get a good enough score that day im officially done.

edit 3: gg im done. worst stepmania session i've ever had. couldn't get warmed up. well it was fun and i wish everyone luck in d5.

Had a lot fun this tournament. I'm very happy with my performance. I'll most likely finish 3rd.



Edit: Yup, 3rd place. No complaints from me though. My goal at the beginning was just top 8. Nothing left to do but practice for next year. Hopefully there will be more hype next time

Well i've officially made it to the top 8 of D4, which means i get prizes prizes PRIZIZES! A big thanks to everyone who supported me (jerry, charu). but there is still some work to be done, and still a couple rounds left to play. Hopefully i can make it passed this round with my bf on spaceman.
